Cars Land with Jacob

Well Cars Land has been open for a week and we've only gone once.  On Saturday, Jacob joined Theresa and I to go visit Cars Land again!
Jacob hasn't activated his pass yet, so he got to the park early.  Really early.  Like before the park opened at 8am.

Because of that, he got to see the crowd that was all lined up to go into the new land.

And it was quite a crowd.

Theresa and I rolled up around 8:45.

We all jumped into the single rider line and queued up.  The normal wait time was 180 minutes.

After only 45 minutes we were at the front of the line.  It just so happened that Theresa and I got put into the same car in different rows.  And Jacob happened to be in the car right behind us.

That also meant that we raced against his car at the end of the ride.

Theresa had fun and only got a small headache.

This was Jacob's 2nd ride since he rode at the beginning of the day.

Theresa's hair was pretty wind-swept after coming off the ride.

Us and Stanley welcome you to Radiator Springs.

We decided to run over to Disneyland.

For a treat, we decided stop by the Jolly Holiday bakery.

The Matterhorn Macaroon was excellent!

Disneyland wait times were great!  On a Saturday in the middle of June, it's one of the least crowded we've seen.

Because of that we decided to go on rides that we wouldn't normal get on.

Jacob and I jumped on the Teacups while Theresa took photos.

One of the best parts of taking photos on the teacups are photos like the next one.

Tada!

We also jumped on the Storybook Circus boat rides.

Theresa made a friend and learned all about the stuff we were seeing along the ride.

Buzz Lightyear is a favorite.  And with a 5 minute wait, who can resist.

Whenever Theresa wins, I blame the gun.  Mine was obviously malfunctioning.

Fastpasses for Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye.

Then it was time to head back to California Adventure for lunch.

We started with dessert.  Hooray for the free chocolate squares at the new Ghirardelli chocolate shop.

Then we grabbed a Chili Cone Carne served in an edible cone and jumped in the single rider line for Radiator Springs Racers.

Only 30 minutes later, we were at the front of the line.  We could have waited 120 minutes in the regular line.

And again, Theresa and I got put in the same car!

We almost run into Mack.

We see Minny and Van.

The Sheriff comes out and warns up about speeding.

We do some tractor tipping then have to speed away from Frank.

The Hudson Hornet says it's time to race.

And we're off.

Red comes out and visits.  He even squirts people with water

And to celebrate Red, I try Red's Apple Freeze.  A frozen apple juice drink with toasted marshmallow topping.  I thought it was interesting, but Theresa and Jacob didn't like it at all.

The Little Mermaid ride was a walk-on.

The we walked on to Monsters Inc.

Back to Disneyland to listen to the Voices of Liberty.  The last week we went to the 2pm showing.  We went to the same one this week and the show was exactly same.

They were good, but next time, we'll sit closer to the front.

Jacob and I had grabbed fastpasses for Star Tours.

I've been on this new version probably 6 times and 5 of those times, we visited Hoth.  This time....  yep, Hoth again.

There's some cool art in downtown Disney.

Then we went to the new Lego store.

We love the great Lego statues out front now.

A great Beauty and the Beast statue.  Inspiration perhaps....  We'll see.

For now though, I've got to get some Disney paintings done.  Tune in tomorrow for more on that!
