Painting with Friends

It's been way too long since we've had a painting day at our place.  Somewhere around 16 months I think.
We had a record turnout, with 9 people showing up to work on a painting.

It all starts by using a projector to project the image on the canvas.  You then trace out the image on the canvas.

Theresa and Jacob just about to get started.

Because it was such a beautiful day we did all the painting outside.

Grace decided on an awesome Swedish Chef

Zucely's niece Alexis decided a Jack Skellington would look awesome on her bedroom wall.

Farman's painting is 5 years in the making.  Both him and Steph were working on these same paintings the last time we got together.

Jacob is making good progress on his Tigger.

Gene decided that Winnie the Pooh would be cute.

Ruston working on Wall-e.

Everyone was trying to get just a little bit of shade.  It was in the high 70s, but it was a bit hot in the direct sunlight.

I'm working on a Rapunzel and Pascal from Theresa's new favorite movie, Tangled.

Zucely is working on a Sorcerer Mickey

I think Steph is just about done with her R2-D2.  It looks great!

Jacob is racing through his Tigger.

Zucely and Alexis had to leave early, but they're looking great!

After finishing her first painting, Steph decides to do a Jack Skellington for Halloween.

There's Theresa working on her Mickey and Minnie.

Gene and Grace are making good progress on their paintings.

Farman helps out Steph with the purple background.

Very nice Steph.

Looks great guys!

After the sun started going down, we moved inside.

Making great progress.

It almost looks like he's done.

Jacob finished way before anyone else.  Here's his finished Tigger.

It was a great time!  Maybe we'll try to do another one before Halloween.  I know a few people at least who are wanting to do another.  Until next time!
