Happy Halloween! We love this fun, fall, time of year!
The kids are really into the Mandalorian and Grogu and decided pretty early on that that’s what they were going to dress as for Halloween.
Alli made sure our house was decorated, making these construction paper pumpkins with lids on a bed of grass.
Then Ian and Alli worked together to make a big caldron filled with a green brew.
Ian added the bubbles on top for realism and when we turned out the lights we saw they’d hidden a flashlight underneath the green surface.
Over in the nearby town of Ocoee I love that City Hall has decorated a tree for Halloween.
And a historic house that Theresa and I hang out at with rocking chairs on the porch has been decorated too.
A few days before Halloween, our campground has organized an event in front of the Rec Center.
Super thankful for all the people who came out.
And we loved the pumpkins the staff had decorated. Which one is your favorite? I voted for Oscar the Grouch.
For the past few years, it’s been tradition to give away candy at Disney World to all the cast members. We don’t have Disney passes right now, but we’re still giving away treat bags to some of our friends around the neighborhood.
Chick-fil-A of course. And Michael (who runs Bingo) is here! We had plenty of treat bags for every worker we saw.
And we also stopped by McDonald’s, the UPS store where we get our mail, and our campground to give out candy to the people we interact with regularly.
For Halloween night, we were invited to come trick or treat in Nicole and her mom and dad’s neighborhood.
Lots of the houses in this neighborhood go big, even including treats for the adults.
Full size candy bars are amazing! And what’s this? Dragons? We can have one of those too? This gentleman said he 3D printed 25 of them to give away to the kids.
Running into a fellow Mandalorian, Ian got a fist bump.
They came away with plenty of candy and other light up toys.
Besides collecting it, sorting it all at the end of the night is the next best thing!
And one more look at those dragons.
Ian said it was his favorite thing he got all night!
