Chalk Festival in Pasadena

Ruston invited Jacob, Theresa and I up to Pasadena to check out the chalk festival.  We ate lunch together and then took off to see some art.

Pretty cool stuff.  We came away inspired!  I was thinking maybe a chalk festival in our driveway sometime next summer.

Both Disney World Magic Kingdom and Disneyland in one day!

On May 30th I was able to do something I'd always wanted to try; going to two Disney parks in one day.  In this case though, I wanted to do both parks on either side of the USA.  I also wanted to see how many rides I could get in.  My goal was to go on rides that existed in some form at both parks. 

Theresa and I arrived to WDW Magic Kingdom before park opening, riding the monorail from the Ticket and Transportation center.

For Christmas, we got Lacey and Jonathan an indoor skydiving experience.  And we would be joining them!

Painting with Friends

A lot of our friends really liked our Disney paintings.  They're actually not too hard to make, so we had a few people over to our house for a day of painting!

They're easier if you hold your tongue just so.

In February, Rita, Tyler and the kids all came out to visit.

Character Days at Disneyland

In January, Disney really started making use of their Festival arena.  Jan 30th was character days where they brought out fan favorites as voted on by us the fans.  Winners included all 7 dwarfs together, Baloo, King Louie and others.

We started our day at Walt Disney Record just off Alameda in Burbank.
