I know, I know. We just got back from Vegas a little less than a month ago. Well that time was to go see Lion King. This time we went out to see Phantom of the Opera.

Disneyland with the family
One of the last things we did was head out to Disneyland. On Jan 3rd the park was supposed to be pretty dead. It turned out to be a little busier than we were expecting, but at least it was better than the record 100,000 people crowds from just a week before.
Donald, Amy and the kids, and Tyler, Rita and the kids all headed to Disneyland as soon as it opened. We showed up a little later at 9:30 with Rich and Chi.
After getting Fastpasses for World of Color, the main thing everyone wanted to see that day, we headed back to California Screamin. This was Ethan's favorite ride of the day.

Pinks Hot Dogs
Not content to just end the day at Huntington Gardens, we then hit another LA landmark. Pinks Hot Dogs. They're famous for naming their specialty hot dogs.

Which is nowhere near Huntington Beach. When Theresa was giving me driving directions, I was a little confused at first. It's named after Henry Huntington.
We've lived here in Los Angeles for almost 8 years now, but had never been up to visit. Having family come to town makes you a lot more active and you get to see lots of new stuff too.
