Terry's Chocolate Orange and Terry's Chocolate Orange Snow Balls

Christmas is the time of year for Chocolate Oranges! I don't know why, but it just is! I remember a few years ago when we tried 5 different flavors of Terry's Chocolate Oranges (plus 3 filled chocolate oranges), and that was awesome!

There's a new flavor out though and my brother Jon made sure I had one to try.

Terry's Chocolate Orange with Snowballs!
So today, we're trying the Original Terry's Orange along with the Terry's Orange Snowballs, which has candy coated chocolate pieces.

You can see those little "snowballs" embedded in the chocolate orange slices. They'll have to be really tiny because those slices are pretty thin. They almost look like those nonpareils candies.

I like that snowball wearing a hat.

The back of the box for completeness. There's less calories in the one with snowballs.

Slice differences in the sticker that goes on the front of the orange. The Original has a orange slice for the apostrophe in Terry's, along with a light tan ring on the sticker.

The Snowball Orange has a light blue ring to differentiate it.

Trying the regular chocolate orange.
Theresa - I don't like orange chocolate and I don't want to eat orange chocolate.
Joe - It's a Terry's Chocolate Orange. They're delicious in all forms.
Theresa - Do you like the Dark Chocolate or the Milk Chocolate better?
Joe - I like both. I go back and forth between the two.

And now the Chocolate Orange with Snowballs.
Joe - Okay, I see it.

You can tell they're there on the back side even more. They're itty bitty.
Theresa - It's almost like the size of the pieces in a Nestle Crunch Bar.

Snapping a slice, yes, we can see they're little white snowballs inside.
Joe - So let's taste it. Are the snowballs a novelty or do they actually add to the experience?
Ian - It doesn't taste like anything.
Joe - I get the same flavor. It's a texture thing. I don't know that it really does anything for me.

Joe - The Toffee Chocolate Orange, those were different. They had toffee pieces and you could actually taste it and crunch it. Or the Pop Rocks Chocolate Orange. That wasn't good, but it was definitely unique and added something to the experience.

Joe - So did it need snowballs in it? No, not really. But it's not bad. It's still a chocolate orange.
