2025 Summer Vacation - Wrapping up Michigan - 2025/07/20

Let's wrap up this summer Michigan trip with all the rest of the things we did that weren't part of the birthday celebrations.

We joined the Federle's at Buffalo Wild Wings for their Bottomless Apps deal.

For $10, we could get all the chips & queso, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and more. What a cheese pull Alli!

Practicing their volleyball in the backyard with Aubrey.

While T and I get a date night out. T had been craving a hot fudge sundae so we headed to Dairy Queen to get one.

Playing Monopoly with Grandpa.

Let's make something in the kitchen together Alli!

Biscuits are so good!

We treated everyone to games and pizza at Chuck E Cheese.

Practicing their basketball.

Getting those high scores.

Donald saw that a local BBQ place was having a big celebration, including free food and a judges table. He was hoping we might be able to hop on the judge's panel to try some tasty things.

Didn't get there in time for the judging, but there's still food.

Lines for an entire plate stretched long, but there were other shorter lines for things as well.

Popcorn and snowcones?

Lots of different seasonings to try.

A spinning wheel for other fantastic prizes.

We both won shirts!

"We Smoke the Good Stuff!"
"Famous for a Reason"

Another bench with hardly any line! Giving out some tasty looking pulled pork.

Yum!

Oh yeah! That's the good stuff.

Waiting in line for a rib and slice of watermelon.

Delicious! Good suggestion Donald!

Checking in on the kids, they've found some tasty treats in Grandpa's garden.

And who doesn't like Grammy's chicken nuggets.

Off to Chuck E Cheese with Jared and Aubrey!

Aub showing us how it's done on the bean bag toss.

These free refill cups have had a lot of use this summer. And the kids loved seeing the ducks as prizes. They have hopes to hide them on our next cruise.

All the kids are hanging out together tonight, which left all the adults free to go out for a combined birthday celebration dinner! Between Amy, myself, Rita, and Tyler, we've got 4 July birthdays.

Then went out for a walk at a nearby park.

And celebrated with ice cream at Menchies. Yum!

While the kids are off doing something new and fun tonight.

Their first hibachi experience.
Ian was surprised by the big flame of fire.

Another day, and yesterday really reminded me how much I enjoyed Menchies and taking the kids there when we were back in California.

So many choices!

Then it was off to Chuck E Cheese for more pizza and ticket fun.

Aubrey needed a sub for their beach volleyball team. I was very happy to volunteer.

I forget what we were celebrating, but there was homemade coffee cake and lemon cake, which made a tasty breakfast the next day.

We've enjoyed our time here in Michigan, but it's time to get back to traveling!

Thank you all for everything!
