It's Easter so that means it's the time of the year for Jelly Beans! There's the regular boring Jelly Beans of course, but I always like to find unique and interesting Jelly Beans! We've tried Sweetarts Jelly Beans, Skittles Jelly Beans, Starburst Jelly Beans, Sour Patch Kids Jelly Beans, Krispy Kreme Donut Jelly Beans, Tabasco Jelly Beans, Late Night Taco Truck Jelly Beans, Holiday Favorites Jelly Beans, and many many more.
So finding these Froot Loops Jelly Beans of course fits right in to all the unique things we like to try!
Look how bright and colorful those jelly beans are! I love that they've included all the colors that are in the cereal. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple.
I see they are Natural Fruit Flavors.
Enlarged to show texture, but they look pretty much the same size.
Apparently Kelloggs has partnered with Galerie Candy to make these jelly beans. The ingredient list only shows "natural flavors". I remember previously tasting Froot Loops Ice Pops and those were terrible! I can only hope these are better.
Bright and shiny.
Matching up with the colors of the Loops. I know that Froot Loops cereal is all the same flavor, despite being different colors. I wonder if the jelly beans will follow in line, or if they'll actually taste like typical jelly beans.
Should the jelly beans be so brightly colored if the cereal is dull? I think I prefer the bright beans instead of them matching.
How's the cereal?
It's like we know and love. Fruity. Sweet. That "cereal" flavor made of corn and wheat.
What is going on with their size control? These are all from the same package! We've got minis all the way up to extra large. Cheerios size up to Giant!
And now the jelly beans! Joe - Will they taste like cereal? Try the red first.
Alli - It tastes like ginger!
Joe - Really? That's what those horrible ice pops tasted like!
Theresa - It tastes like it's trying to be cereal.
Joe - It's "sharp". I get the ginger comment from Alli.
Theresa - It starts off like cereal, then it hits you with a not quite cereal flavor.
Joe - Next is the orange jelly bean. Is it different?
Alli - More mellow ginger.
Ian - Are we sure these are different?
Joe - Yellow next.
Theresa - That does taste like Lemon.
Joe - It's not a great Lemon, but it's different.
Theresa - I don't like any of them so far.
Alli - Ginger Lemon!
Joe - I get your ginger comment on all these.
We tried the rest in color order.
Ian - These are all disgusting.
Ian spat all of them out in the trash can.
Theresa - Some of these seem to have a finishing "fruit" flavor, and some of them don't. Like a "wheat" finishing flavor instead of a fruit flavor.
Theresa - Those are all... not that great. All of them are worse than normal Brach's Jelly Beans.
Alli - My favorite out of the jelly beans was NONE!
Let's get a bowl of cereal with milk to get that flavor out of our mouths.
Alli - Should we pour the milk first and then the cereal?
Joe - NEVER! You never pour the milk first. It's always cereal first, then milk. Unless it's the second bowl of cereal and then it's acceptable to have milk in the bowl already when you're adding more cereal. I don't make the rules, that's just how it's done.
Joe - There's definitely no ginger flavor in those Froot Loops.
Everyone gives the Froot Loops Jelly Beans a double thumbs down. Those are terrible!
