Our Christmas break in Florida is wrapping up a couple days early. It's been a bit hectic. A couple days ago, Richard got a phone call that his 96 year old mother wasn't doing well. He hopped on a plane and was able to get there 90 minutes before she passed away. After getting things prepared, the rest of the family came a couple days later.
Today we are making something delicious in the kitchen. I'm really looking forward to it.
When Aubrey would come out and visit us in California, one of her favorite places to stop for a treat was the 85C bakery. They had all sorts of delicious breads and pastries there, but her favorite of all of them is their Chocolate Chip Bowl. I've made their Garlic Cheese Bread and Choco Buns. I even made a very satisfying Cheese Bread that is filled with cream cheese.
But the Chocolate Chip Bowl is a little different, but I'm excited to give it a try!
We've got just a couple more days in Florida before we leave for the next part of our Christmas break.
In June of 2020 I started a quest to make pizza for the family every week. And not just any pizza. My goal was to make a unique pizza every single week for as long as I could, and in total I made at least 38 special pizzas in 2020. At the beginning of the 2021 I wasn't sure how much longer I could come up with different pizzas, but as the year went on, new ideas and new inspiration kept coming.

It's Christmastime and this year instead of going to someone's house, all of Theresa's family is coming down to Florida! Normally we'd all get together in Florida over Spring Break, but this year Covid messed everything up. The house we're renting together was only available for the first 6 days, so we're getting hotel rooms together after that. And I was hoping this would be somewhat relaxing, but as you'll see, it got hectic.

Merry Christmas! There's so many of us here in Florida that we all decided to celebrate Christmas together. And sure we could have bought a bunch of gifts for each other, but that's a lot of people to get presents for, and then you've got to transport them. It's a lot of work! But there's one thing that everybody likes. Money!
And sure, you could just put money into a card and pass it out, but there's better ways to earn money. Games! Why not spend the day competing against each other in games of skill and games of chance to win your Christmas present? Each family came up with 3 unique games and we had a lot of laughs playing together all day.
