Tour of Europe - England

All the way back in 2007, Theresa and I were just getting started on our international travels.
In order to get a taste of lots of different places, and letting someone else do all the work, we booked a 15 day European Tour.
First stop, England!
Kings Cross station and Platform 9 3/4 (from the Harry Potter series) was definitely on the list of places to visit.

And Buckingham Palace.

Look, Big Ben.

And a red double decker bus.

Westminster Abbey

After meeting up with our tour group, we crossed over the English Channel at the Cliffs of Dover.

And had a truly awful English breakfast aboard the ferry. Some terrible scrambled eggs, limp bacon, baked beans... Bring on some delicious french pastries!

  1. A lot of detailed, beautiful historical buildings in England and throughout Europe. Hope the tour wasn't too rushed to prevent your enjoyment of each place you visited; and hopefully you got some delicious french pastries eventually :-) Which European places do you two want to re-visit based on this tour? New European places on to-do list? EOM

    1. The tour turned out to be a great way to get exposed to everything. T and I really enjoyed seeing Rome, Florence, Switzerland, and Paris. And since this trip, we've enjoyed Rome and Florence once more, and Paris twice!
