Celebrating the 50 anniversary of man walking on the moon with Moon Oreos

This weekend is the 50th anniversary of man's first walk on the surface of the moon!
We're getting into the celebration with Marshmallow Moon Oreos!

Oreo is doing some fun things with their packaging too!

That's right! It's glows! Fun!

And there's 3 fun cookie shapes too. A rocket launching. An astronaut on the moon. And the moon and some stars (though you really can't see stars like that in a crescent moon).
And the creme filling is an interesting color too. Maybe they were going for a "surface of the moon" color. It looked pretty purple to us.
The marshmallow flavor is tasty and pretty familiar. Like the marshmallow that was in those S'mores Oreos we tried a couple months ago.

Ian's shirt very nearly matches this cookie!

And Alli has stars on hers.

Happy 50th Anniversary!

  1. Ian must have been excited about the 50th anniversary of the moon landing/walking since he likes space stuff! Then to see the Moon Oreos must have really got him going :-) I like the cute pictures on the oreos and that glow-in-the-dark packaging...that's the first "glowing packaging" I've ever seen for cookies. As an aside, I can now better appreciate that 1969 achievement then when it actually happened (sad to say). I don't think I realized what it really took and how dangerous it was as it unfolded on live television. Also, as a young child I vaguely remember waving at the moon, knowing there was someone up there! Any ways, thanks for the fun Moon Oreos share, and Happy 50th Moon Landing/Walking everyone! EOM

    1. Oh yes Ian has been excited about the moon landing. First they loved helping me find the moon cookies at the grocery stores. Not all of them had it, so we had to go on a quest looking for them. And they both love our taste tests and Oreos specifically.
What an experience that would have been to experience live.
