It was a fun morning playing volleyball with my friends, but it's Sunday and we're checking out of our hotel in El Segundo and driving north for a few more days at Magic Mountain!
And because it's Sunday, Theresa is here with us!
Nope! We still can't scan it in the restaurants. I went to customer service, where they're starting to recognize me, and asked for meal vouchers this time. They can't just print them out, but have to get them approved through the higher ups, but since they know the issue already, I was able to leave and then come back later to pick them up. No hour long waits this time to get it figured out.
Since it's a weekend it's a bit busier than we were hoping. And because we're here for 3 more days this week, none of us felt bad about leaving before the park closed. What's nearby? How about a new Chuck E Cheese that we haven't visited?!?
They've got some different games, like the claw machine tickets.
Whoa! I've never seen a jackpot so high! 2000 tickets!
This Ring Toss game is a bit suspect though. The "Bonus" says 97 tickets, if you beat the high score on the screen (400 at the time). It only paid out 3 tickets though...

We do like the skill games though. I'm getting pretty decent at the Milk Jug toss. And you win 250 tickets if you get all 5 balls in! It's not easy, but I was able to do it twice!
I'm starting to think that Paw Patrol bonus isn't possible. Not wanting to spend our entire night at CEC, we opted to load up on credits on the game and see if we could hit it. Time after time after time we came near it, but didn't hit the bonus a single time.
The next morning, we were all awake a little early to enjoy the hotel breakfast.
The cooks here put out some beautiful plates.
Theresa is going to be working from the hotel room today, but she took a break and dropped us off at the entrance to Six Flags. No waiting around to park for us today! We get VIP treatment!
And because of our passes, we get to walk past the regular entrance and get into the park early!
Where should we head? How about X2!
We're among the very first in line today! On the very first train!
We all loaded, got locked in and... waited. There's an error with the train. Time to get off and get back in line. They called maintenance, cycled the train, and we tried to load again. Again we had to get off and get back in line. Maintenance came back and we got the announcement that X2 would be down. Grr! A good 30 minutes wasted.
Except as soon as we got to the front of the line, that one also had an issue! Gah!
A 15 minute delay this time, but at least we got to ride it.
X2 was working again, so we headed back over to it and this time jumped in a 30 minute line to get to the front.
I like it, but it's a bit wild!
Since it's still a little busy today, I took the kids around to some of the smaller rides we haven't been on. In Bugs Bunny Land, we were all expecting to get to ride in the cages. There's a minimum height limit, but no maximum, however as I tried to board, the operator stopped me and said it was just for kids.
It does look like it would be a tight squeeze.
I sent Theresa a few pictures of us throughout the day. I reminded her that I was the one in the middle, just in case she couldn't tell.
We wandered around the park, going on whatever was nearby. We Wild Flowers are only 50 cents each.
Our meal passes still aren't working correctly, but they assure us that they're working on it. At least we're getting actual vouchers now instead of post-it notes.
After Theresa picked us up around 6pm, we all headed over to Chuck E Cheese to win a few more tickets with our Summer Fun pass. Another perfect game of Milk Jug Toss.
Alli is really dialing it in with basketball. I'm giving her some pointers to help her shots be more consistent. Shooting with the ball in front of you instead of over your shoulder. That's how she learned when she was smaller because she couldn't generate enough power to throw the ball far enough. Now though, she can shoot properly and get it all the way to the hoop.
Getting some new high scores.
Still broken. This time we told the people at the front and they loaded our cards with extra tickets.
Sometimes these games glitch. If the ball goes into the milk jug in just the wrong way, it won't register that you made it, plus it won't register that you even threw a ball. This should have been a perfect game, but wasn't because of the glitch.
Still, with 5 perfect games, that's a few tickets for us! Definitely going to come in handy later this year!
The game resets the bonus back to 50 tickets, thinking you won, but it doesn't actually pay it out.
