Theresa and I had a fun time while we were in Vegas. But the kids and grandparents had a fun time while we were gone too!
One of the things Gram loves to do with the kids is have a formal tea party.
Such cute foods.
Going out to dinner with Gram.
It's been a lot of fun for the kids to hang out together for the past two weeks. They had a lot of fun creating things together and just hanging out. It's time to say goodbye for now though. Avery is headed over to her other grandparents' house because it's just about time to start the next part of our journey!
Pop Pop and Gram are getting an early start, heading up a few days early. I drove them to Denver for their flight.
Back home, we've got to clean out the fridge since we're leaving in not too long either. Alli discovering the joys of avocado toast.
The kids still have a pass to Urban Air so they wanted to show me some of the fun things they have to do there.
Like the go-karts.
Or beating all the other teams in laser tag.
Afterwards, we popped over to Chuck E Cheese to collect more tickets for our year end project. Alli's is really working on her basketball skills.
The three of us getting 81 points in basketball! Enough for 50 tickets!
Alli and I getting 100 points even!
And when we're really good, all the way up to 114 points! Whew! That's tiring!
The next day, yes I know it looks the same, we're back at CEC again. Alli practicing her football.
And squeaking out an extra point for a new high score of 115!
Mommy is here to play too!
Showing us how it's done on skeeball.
Sometimes Tippin Bloks is winnable. Other times they make it impossible.
The next day, it's time for us to head to the airport to fly to Washington, but we don't have to be there too early. I bet there's a new Chuck E Cheese in Denver that we could stop at just to check out someplace new. I think this year, we're going to make a very good use of our summer fun pass. If we're keeping track, this is our 2nd CEC store we've visited. I don't think I'll be able to count the number of days we'll be going.
But it's fun to find a store that has new games to play. It's different at every CEC we've been to. Some are great, some are meh, and some are outright terrible (looking at you New Jersey).
One other benefit of the gold summer fun pass is free items randomly during the 3 months you have it. We've got a free personal pizza today! Score!
Basketball is fun! But it's crazy how wild some of the kids can shoot. There's a ball on top of the machine, on top of the skeeball machines, and even a skeeball on top of the machine. Yikes!
Time to head to the airport and fly to Washington! Colorado it's been fun, but it's time for the next stop of the summer!
We like going for walks in the neighborhood and seeing all the bunny rabbits everywhere.
Theresa's got a new favorite food to prepare: tofu! She'll usually employ the kids and together they'll make up a song for it. Please enjoy this song about tofu, with a special appearance by the original chicken song.
Ian decided to add this one in for when he's feeling not so healthy.
