Leaving Florida for our summer travels - 2025/05/20

What a summer it has been! We've been so busy traveling, I haven't stopped to write it all down. Now that we're back in Florida and getting into a routine, I have some time to settle down and get all this recorded.

We had just finished up with the Gymnastics USA Olympics, having a whole bunch of the family out visiting us.

The rest of the family is heading back to Michigan, but we've still got Gram and Pop Pop here for a few more days. Let's go explore Florida a little bit together!

The campground we're at has a rec room with lots of puzzles, games, books, ping pong, foosball, and a pool table. If we weren't in the RV, we were there playing something together.

And it must be bunny season because they are everywhere right now!

Who wants to go on a bike ride? We wanted to go see our friend Henry on the bike trail before we left. Drop off some goodies and visit with the animals some.

And along the bike ride we see a few big Florida animals.

Henry has bought extra land to expand his property and has a small pond that he's excavated. Hope there's no gators in there!

A special tree that he's growing that will be here long after we're all gone.

The geese are especially hissy (noisy) since a couple of them are guarding a clutches of eggs.

Now let's go explore Downtown Winter Garden a little bit. It's nice that they have EV car charging!

Here's what we're here for. Way Chocolate! They do sell chocolate, ice cream, and cake, but our favorite is their coffee. It's so good!

But with everyone here, we might as well try all the other tasty things too. It's got a super rich chocolate cake.

And a very tasty tiramisu for Alli. Everything was delicious, but I still like the coffee the best out of everything.

This summer, we've got a WHOLE lot of travel and a WHOLE lot of miles to cover so... we opted to leave the RV in Florida in storage, and fly to most of the places this year.

And so, we'll say goodbye to The Beast, Beauty, and the EV (I don't know what nickname we're giving it yet). Luckily the place we're leaving the RV has electrical hookups, so we'll be able to leave the air conditioner running, fridge going, and monitor things inside while we're gone. Have a good summer!
