A comparison of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups sizes - From 0.1oz to 8oz and everything in between

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are delicious! There's so many different size cups though. How many? Eight that I could find. All of these were part of our 53 Reese's taste test back in December, but it was hard to compare them with all those different tastes.
So, here it is. A comparison of the eight different size Reese's Cups.

  • Reese's Minis
  • Reese's Miniature Cups
  • Reese's Thins
  • Reese's Snack Size
  • Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
  • Reese's Big Cups
  • Reese's Thank You Cups
  • World's Largest Reese's Peanut Butter Cup

When you put them all together, you can get an idea of how big they are in relation to each other.

And like usual, whenever I take photos, I end up with a helper.

From the front, you can see how tall they are in relation to each other too. The World's Largest Reese's Cup is huge!

And we can't just leave it at that. I want to see what the insides look like too. The ratio of chocolate to peanut butter is usually an important deciding factor when choosing a favorite.
  • Reese's Minis - 0.13 oz, 18 calories
  • Reese's Miniature Cups - 0.3 oz, 44 calories
  • Reese's Thins - 0.4 oz, 57 calories
  • Reese's Snack Size - 0.6 oz, 90 calories
  • Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - 0.7 oz, 105 calories
  • Reese's Big Cups - 1.4 oz, 200 calories
  • Reese's Thank You Cups - 5.0 oz, 720 calories
  • World's Largest Reese's Peanut Butter Cup - 8.0 oz, 1120 calories
You could have either 60 of the Minis or 1 Half Pound World's Largest Cup.

Everyone has been very patient while we posed for pictures, then I took all their candy away to get the product shots.
It's time to eat them!

The kids were really excited to eat them. Both of them angling to get the biggest pieces.

When you start to get to the larger pieces, there's so much chocolate it comes off in chunks.

Mmm. These World's Largest Reese's Cups are great.

So much chocolate and so much peanut butter. Yum!

So, eight different sizes. What are the favorites?

Alli and Joe - World's Largest Reese's Cups
Theresa and Ian - Regular Reese's Peanut Butter Cup
Megan - Reese's Thins

I've learned that I like the bigger Reese's cups now. And since the World's Largest and Thank You cups aren't always available, I'm going to start buying Reese's Big Cups when I'm in the mood for peanut butter and chocolate.

  1. Mmmmmmm...peanut butter and chocolate!!!! Those World's Largest ones are definitely for the PB & Chocolate lover! Very nice arrangement/presentation of the items under that, along with the graphics. Alli really has that intense "studying" look as the pieces are sliced...her mind was whirling away with "what looks the best to try" :-) EOM

    1. After that giant taste test we did, I found that I'm liking Reese's even more than before. Glad you liked the graphics. After doing the one with the Oreo filling comparison, I figured I'd try to do something similar with the Reese's.
Can you think of anything else similar to the Oreo's or Reese's where there's lots of the same thing, but in different sizes?

    2. There are quite a few different sizes of KitKats these days though it's much easier to tell the difference than with Reese's.

  2. Very neat! I was looking to see how much Reeses has shrunk their cups over the years, as the regular sized ones we got in our trick-or-treating bags this year had all different weight on the packaging. Not counting the miniatures or the specialty Halloween ones, the ones we got said: .75 ounces | .6 ounces | and .55 ounces as the stated weight. I did find a wrapper online from the early 2000's that had a weight of their classic 2 pack as 1.6 ounces (or .8 ounces apiece). I guess the trend is that they are shrinking, as the most common one got in our small sample size was .55 ounces.

    1. Crazy! I'll have to keep my eyes open for them. I remember them being a bit bigger as well, though I put it up to being little at the time.

    2. They are using shrinkflation and think the public is stupid

  3. "There's so many different size cups though." .... and nobody in the room thought to take out a ruler and measure the dimensions?

    1. That's an excellent point. Let me update the photo with some dimensions.

  4. I like Reese's cups too favorite my name Imani

  5. Hi i bought a bag of. the mini cups
They state 3 pieces are 130 calories. How can that be when the reeses regular cup states the same calorie count.. I should be able to eat atleast 7 of the minis not 3 for 130 calorie. Correct? Thx Joanne

    1. Are you sure you got the Reese's Minis and not the Reese's Miniatures Cups? The Minis are loose in the bag, while the Miniatures are wrapped in foil.
3 Miniatures would be 132 calories, while 3 Minis would only be 54 calories. You're right that you could eat 7 of the Minis for 126 calories, but not the Miniatures.
