Happy Mother's Day to Theresa!
The kids started the morning by coming into our bedroom and asking how she would like her coffee, iced or hot. Then they ran off to make it for her.
The package suggests waiting 10 minutes for the croissants to cool before enjoying, but with fresh bread, who can wait? Just long enough for the photo and then we dug right in. Theresa said it might be the best chocolate croissant she's ever had. Definitely the freshest. These are a winner in our book. I see they make plain and almond filled versions as well. Definitely something to try in the future.
A couple days before, the kids asked me to take them shopping for a present for Theresa.
Ian - Mom used to like those Fruit Smiles gummies when she was little, right?
They were a welcome present.
For lunch, how about some Japanese Gyoza! I deep-fried one (against the box directions) and pan-fried the other (according to the directions) to see which tasted best. Of course the deep fried gyoza turned out amazing. The pan-fried gyoza was good too, but not quite as good as the deep fried.
For dinner, I asked Theresa what she wanted. Steak, Korean, whatever. But, it's Sunday so she requested... pizza! Homemade pizza of course. She likes hers with no red sauce and a puffy outer ring of crust.
Ian - Did you have a good Mother's Day momma?
