Blue Raspberry Icee Peeps and Peeps flavored Icee - taste test comparison

Today we're trying the last of our collection of Peeps flavors we've gathered this Easter. We found Dr Pepper Peeps (which were delicious), Rice Krispies Treats Peeps (which were unremarkable), and Churro Peeps (which were also unremarkable). For our last flavor, we are trying Peeps Blue Raspberry Icee! 

And so, we headed to the store to find Icees that we could compare them to! "But wait," I hear you say, "haven't you already tried Blue Raspberry Peeps?" Wow, what an amazing memory you have. I'm impressed. We have indeed tried Blue Raspberry Peeps, but those were a little different.  

Back in 2020, right as the pandemic started, we found Blue Raspberry Peeps, but they weren't branded as Icee at that time. Despite that, I was trying to think of things to compare it to that were blue raspberry flavored. Even back then I chose Blue Raspberry Icees and Blue Raspberry Sour Punch Straws! 

Now we couldn't have found a Blue Raspberry frozen drink at lots of places. There's Slurpees, Frosties, Slushies, Frosters, and more. But those aren't Icees. To get Icees, I had to go to my local Target. 

And it just so happened that not only did they have Blue Raspberry Icees, but they also have a special Peeps flavored Icee too! Sweet (literally)! 

And so we bought one of each! I just wish Target had the real Icee cups to make it look better.

Let's take our last look at the eyes of those Peeps and get a laugh. 

Well, from the left, we see the first two look pretty good. The third one has something going on with its belly. The fourth one is a cyclops. And what is going on with the fifth Peep? 

Oh my. It's a explosion. That might be the worst Peep eye we've ever seen. 

Jacob - The eye score is going to be horrible. 

Theresa - That looks like it was killed! Like someone shot it in the eye! Destroyed!

Alli - I give it a 2! Very violent. 

The Peeps themselves are a very pale blue outside with a pale blue marshmallow inside. 

Compare that to the 2020 Blue Raspberry Peeps which were a much darker blue outside. 

Well this Icee is starting to melt. Let's get tasting! 

Theresa - You know this isn't a Theresa taste test because I don't like Blue Raspberry and I don't like Peep. So I'm definitely not partaking. 

Theresa - But I will have a blueberry vanilla Lifesavers Swirled lollipop. These were my favorite growing up!

Joe - I like the way these smell. 

Ian - Nailed it!

Alli - That's good. 

Jacob - They did a fairly good recreation. 

Joe - It's a good blue raspberry flavor. I like it, but I think it could be "stronger". 

Now Alli is going for all the blue things! 

And now we get to try the Peeps flavored Icee. It's yellow! 
Joe - Is it marshmallow flavor? 

Jacob - I was going to say cotton candy, but I can see marshmallow. It's more cotton candy to me. It's all sugar. 

Ian - I get you on that cotton candy. 

Alli - It tastes like a cotton candy Peep. 

Joe - So it's sugary and Peepy? 

Theresa - Who said Peepee? It looks like Peepee. 

Jacob - I'd rather have a Blue Raspberry Icee than the Peeps flavored one. 

Alli - I like both! 

Joe - It could be a little stronger flavor, but they got the flavor right. I'm not disappointed.  

Alli - It could be a little sweeter, but it's good. 

Well, it's been a fun Easter season for trying new Peeps! I love seeing all the new flavors!
