It's our second day exploring Paris with Ruston and Jacob. This morning we explored the Opera House and Notre Dame. Now it's time to see one of the best museums in the world! The Louvre!

Our first day exploring Paris - Italy and France trip Day 13 - 07/03/2013

Sadly yesterday was our last day at Disneyland, but today we're heading into the city.
Checkout was at 11am, but the maid wanted us out at 10:50. We kept telling her 10 minutes, and she countered with 5 minutes. Whatever. We left at 11am.

Hauling all our gear, we headed to the train station right across the street.  The lines were pretty long for tickets, but the helpful guy with an “Information” vest directed us to more machines we weren’t seeing.

Tour of Europe - Disneyland Paris

It's our very first foreign Disney Park ever! We split with the rest of our tour group, and after just a short 55 minute train ride, we were at the gates to Disneyland Paris!

Ruston, Jacob, Theresa and I are exploring Paris today. We've just exited the inside of Notre Dame cathedral and happen upon what was once the very center of the city of Paris.

Disney Studios Paris - Italy and France trip Day 11 part 2

We're on our second day at the Disneyland Resort in Paris. Ruston, Jacob, Theresa and I spent the first part of the day at the Disney Studios Park. Now we're spending the evening in Downtown Disney and the Disneyland Park.

After a day wandering around Paris, it was time to relax for the night. We couldn't think of a better place to do it than at the base of the Eiffel Tower!

Disneyland Paris - Italy and France trip Day 10 part 2

Continuing from part 1 of our trip, Ruston, Jacob, Theresa and I are all at Disneyland Paris.
For our next ride, we went back to Storybook land and rode the canal boats. There was no line and we were able to walk right on and have our own boat to ourselves! There are no guides on the boats here either and they have some interesting scenes we don’t.

This morning we started off like usual at 9:30 waking up.  We got ready then met Jacob and Ruston and headed down to breakfast.

Do a search on google for "World's Best Chocolate" and you'll find French Chocolatier Michel Cluizel high on that list. Today we're tasting 6 or 7 different flavors!

104° at Disneyland so we're celebrating Snowmen

Southern California is currently going through a heat wave and Anaheim hit 104º today! I know of one snowman at least that loves the idea of summer, and sun, and all things hot. So maybe all snowmen love summer, right? In order to "stay cool" we're going with a snowman theme today.
For hats, I've got a Mickey Snowman from Walt Disney World. Alli couldn't be talked out of her princess Rapunzel hat. Ian has a snowman Mickey from Disneyland Paris. Theresa is sporting Winnie the Pooh from Disneyland Paris. And Jacob has our buddy Olaf from here at Disneyland.

Halloween Time at Disneyland

Happy Halloween Time at Disneyland! Today we're joined by our neighbors and starting the day at DCA.
Going into my hat collection, and yes I have even more Halloween hats. From left to right. My Devil Mickey top-hat came from Disneyland Paris. Alli's Witch Minnie Mouse is a 2016 Disneyland find. The leafy Mickey top-hat comes by way of Tokyo Disneyland. Pumpkin Jack was at Disneyland in 2017. And Ian's Winnie the Pooh bat hat is part of the same hat series as my hat and also from Disneyland Paris. Theresa is wearing a Zero headband today.

June 23rd, 2018. The day of the Grand Opening of the Pixar Pier at Disney's California Adventure. And we happen to have some visitors from Michigan here to celebrate with us!

Disney around the World - Day 2 Part 1 - Exploring Korea

Time for our first day of exploring Korea! I was super tired the night before, having been awake for over 24 hours. I closed my eyes at 10:30pm hoping for a restful night sleep... but it was not to be. The kids' sleep schedule is way off, due to the traveling. Theresa and I figured something like this would happen. It's 2:30am and both kids are wide awake. Because we have two separate rooms, I headed over to the kids room and let T sleep.

Celebrating Dwarfs at Disneyland and finally getting walked off a ride

Today we're celebrating Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Disneyland. Since taking Ian on Snow White's Scary Adventures a couple weeks ago, any time we pass by he wants to ride it.
The hats this week all match the theme of course. The Doc and Dopey hats are both courtesy of Disneyland Paris. Grumpy certainly looks to be in the same style but came from Disney World. Alli's princess hat came from Walt Disney World.

Dusseldorf Germany - Italy and France trip Day 1

Ready for another adventure?
Every year we try to take a big vacation around July 4th.  Previous trips have included Tahiti and Bora Bora. This year instead of a relaxing vacation, we're going back to some places we've visited before but didn't spend enough time.  
Follow along as we go to Rome, Florence, Disneyland Paris, and Paris!

We're flying on free airline tickets (that's a whole other post) on Air Berlin.  The way we're routed, we're leaving Los Angeles at 6pm and taking an 11 hour flight to Dusseldorf Germany.  The next morning, we'll catch a flight to Rome.  We left work just a little early on Thursday to head to the airport and have dinner.
Even though we'll be gone for a little over 2 weeks, we still only do carry-on bags.  Each of us got our tickets from the Air Berlin counter and they actually weighed our carry-on bag.  There's a limit of 10kg (22 pounds) and each of our bags was right on.  I'm really glad they didn't ask to weigh my camera bag!  With all my lenses, the laptop, etc, it might look small but I bet it's over 10kg.
