Today it's time to Taste the Rainbow! There are a whole lot of Skittles flavors and today, we're going to try to taste them all!
Actually, did you know that Skittles were originally invented in England? I'm glad we have 3 packages from the UK in this taste test too!

Wow! That is an insane amount of flavors!
We took it one bag at a time, getting the different flavors and giving them a taste.
Skittles Original - Strawberry, Lemon, Green Apple, Orange, Grape
Avery - Lemon is my favorite!Patrick - Orange Skittles are my favorite flavor!
Megan - I don't like Green Apple.
Ian - Green Apple is my favorite flavor!
I think everyone here enjoys the regular Skittles flavors. But is there something better? Let's find out!
Strawberry - I like Strawberry. There's not enough strawberry candies. Red usually skews towards cherry.
Lemon - It has a little bit of a "cleaner" flavor. It's better to have it with something else. It tastes a little like Starburst Lemon.
Green Apple - Not my favorite. Changing Lime to Green Apple was a terrible idea. I'm so glad they changed this over to Lime.
Orange - It's an orangey flavored candy.
Grape - Grape is my favorite out of all these.
Skittles Smoothies - Peach Guava Smoothie, Raspberry Smoothie, Strawberry Banana Smoothie, Mango Smoothie, Blueberry Smoothie
Avery wants the purple one.
Ian - I don't like these. Smoothies are disgusting.
Megan - This tastes chemically.
Patrick - It does taste like a smoothie! I don't like the raspberry.
Theresa - It doesn't taste like any of the smoothies I make. The only one I like is Mango. Skittles Smoothies, you can go into the never to be seen again, never to be eaten again bin.
Peach Guava Smoothie - Too much guava. Too much chemical.
Raspberry Smoothie - It's okay. Raspberry can be good. It's our favorite of the 5 Skittles Smoothies flavors.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie - That's a bad banana. Even from someone (Megan) who likes banana. Too chemically.
Mango Smoothie - I personally don't like Mango flavor. I don't like it.
Blueberry Smoothie - Not good. It's not the yummy artificial blueberry or the real wild blueberry flavor. It's just kind-of bleh.
Joe - Wild berries? Are cherries and melons wild berries?
Wild Cherry - It tastes like Cherry Lifesaver. It's less medicine flavor, which is good.
Strawberry - That's a different Strawberry than the original Strawberry. It's also tasty! My favorite of the 5 flavors.
Raspberry - I'm not getting any raspberry flavor from this. It's a very very mild flavor.
Berry Punch - It's a mixed berry flavor.
Melon Berry - This is a honeydew flavor. Not a watermelon. Interesting!
Skittles Brightside - Kiwi Banana, Watermelon, Paradise Punch, Tangerine, Pink Lemonade
Patrick - I'm excited for these.
Avery - I want the blue one! Paradise Punch.
Megan - Ooh, I like all of those.
Ian - Watermelon tastes like artificial watermelon!
Patrick - Watermelon is good.
Megan - Bleh. I do not like watermelon. I hate the watermelon so much!
Theresa - I like them much better than I thought I would.
Joe - I don't like Paradise Punch. It tastes like fruit punch.
Megan - Kiwi Banana is good! And I like Pink Lemonade!
Theresa - I didn't mind the banana this time. Mixed with the kiwi it tasted okay. It had a bright flavor from it.
Alli - 5 star rating for all of them!
Kiwi Banana - Not a whole lot of banana flavor, but I like it. What does a kiwi really taste like? Strawberries?
Watermelon - I like it. It's not like the Jolly Rancher Watermelon. It's like Chinese Watermelon candy. It's my favorite of the five.
Paradise Punch - It tastes just like Hawaiian Punch to me. I don't like Hawaiian Punch.
Tangerine - It's got a mild flavor.
Pink Lemonade - It's better than the regular Lemon Skittles flavor.
Patrick - I was most excited for Darkside, but Brightside was really good!
Skittles Darkside - Forbidden Fruit, Black Cherry, Dark Berry, Midnight Lime, Blood Orange
Patrick - Blood Orange isn't really orange.
Alli - I love Midnight Lime. It's probably better than Green Apple!
Ian - Are you enjoying the chemical Lime?
Joe - I'm not liking that Lime as much as I thought I would.
Megan - Bleh. I do not like Dark Berry.
Patrick - Black Cherry tasted like a chemical. It is not good.
Theresa - Black Cherry is bad!
Megan - The Blood Orange tastes like Spiced Tea.
Joe - No it does not!
Megan - The Darkside colors looks like Wild Berry.
Alli - Darkside wins the match between Darkside and Brightside.
Joe - Disagree.
Megan didn't like any of them.
Forbidden Fruit - It tastes like sugar. It's a light fruit punch flavor.
Black Cherry - Definitely different than the Wild Cherry from earlier. That's not Life Saver Cherry. That's not good. It's like they added bitter to the cherry.
Dark Berry - It's got a creamy berry flavor to me. It's the best of the 5, but that's not saying much.
Midnight Lime - It's like they added bitter to the Lime. It's way different than the Original Skittles Lime. It tastes more like Pine-Sol cleaner than the others.
Blood Orange - I get an orangey flavor.
Skittles Tropical - Banana Berry, Pineapple Passionfruit, Mango Tangelo, Kiwi Lime, Strawberry Starfruit
Avery - Yellow (Banana Berry) is even better than blue (Pineapple Passionfruit)!
Patrick - Kiwi Lime is yummy! Mango is not bad.
Theresa - I don't taste the Mango. I taste Tangelo.
Joe - I like Pineapple, but I don't like Passionfruit. <tastes it> Aww, too much Passionfruit. That one could have been good.
Theresa - I wouldn't buy that package.
Banana Berry - There's not much banana flavor to it. But it's good.
Pineapple Passionfruit - Too much passionfruit, but not enough pineapple. I can taste the pineapple and wish there was more! Still of the 5 flavors, it was my favorite.
Mango Tangelo - I don't care for Mango.
Kiwi Lime - This just tastes like weird. I'm trying to taste the Lime in all this.
Strawberry Starfruit - It's got a strange sharp flavor when you first taste it.
Patrick - These ones you don't know if they're going to be sour or not. It's random if they are going to be sour.
Avery - Are these going to be super sour?
Theresa - These are not good. I've tried 3 and none were sour.
Patrick - I got one. It's sour, but not as sour as the Sour Skittles.
Megan - Candy apple flavor is the worst. It tastes vomitey to me.
Citrus Scream - It tastes fine. I guess like generic Citrus.
Shocking Lime - That's just plain lime. It's a good one.
Rattled Raspberry - Mmm. I like that Raspberry flavor. The best of the 5.
Spine-Tingling Tangerine - It's got a light orangey flavor.
Ghoulish Green Apple - Why do we need more Green Apple? It's terrible.
Theresa - I can't eat too many of those. They make your mouth hurt.
Megan - I've never tasted Sour Skittles before. I don't like sour.
Joe - Be prepared for your tongue to be raw after this then.
Ian - I'm licking off the acid.
Theresa - I'm about done with Skittles now. That's a lot of sweet.
Megan - Bleh! Sour Green Apple. I'm gonna throw up! I don't like Sour or Green Apple!
Avery - I like the sour now. Just at the beginning I don't like it, but then I do like it.
Megan - I'm crying a little bit. I can't handle the sour on top of the citrus.
Joe - Yum! I like the sour flavor!
Sour Grape - It tastes great! I love the tartness to go along with the grape flavor. It's my favorite flavor in the bag.
Sour Green Apple - Unnecessary.
Sour Lemon - It's just like eating a lemon! Better than the Original Lemon Skittle.
Sour Orange - Just a sour orange.
Sour Strawberry - Also delicious, but Sour Grape wins this round.
UK Skittles Chewies - Chewy Orange, Chewy Lime, Chewy Lemon, Chewy Blackcurrant, Chewy Strawberry
Ian - Chewies!
Megan - They don't have a shell. They're nekkid.
Patrick - There's probably some guy in a factory just sucking all the shells off these.
Theresa - Just the center.
Joe - But not really. Regular Skittles have a white center.
Theresa - Strawberry is good.
Ian - I still prefer the original.
Patrick - That's weird. I'm expecting some kind of crunch and I don't get it.
Joe - It's more like taffy. Or Starbursts. Maybe a little waxier than Starbursts. It's weird without the shell.
Megan - I prefer it with the shell. It gives it texture.
Chewy Orange - It's fine, but the flavor is muted.
Chewy Lime - It's a different Lime flavor than all the other candies we've tried. It's toned down lime.
Chewy Lemon - Another toned down flavor. It's a good lemon.
Chewy Blackcurrant - What is blackcurrant? It's hard to put a finger on the flavor. It reminded Megan of those old time raspberry candies in a small tin that were covered in powder. Megan's favorite of the five.
Chewy Strawberry - A mild strawberry flavor. My favorite of the five.
I think it's cute that each candy still got the "S" stamped into it, even though it's a Chewie.
Skittles All Lime - Lime
Patrick - Mmm, so much better than Green Apple.
Theresa - I agree.
Alli - Yum! 5 out of 5!
Megan - It tastes different than the Midnight Lime.
Joe - I'm glad they brought these back instead of the Green Apple ones.
Megan - I don't know who decided to replace them originally, but I hope they were fired.
Lime - Thank you Skittles for bringing this one back and getting rid of the Green Apple abomination. That's a good Lime flavor.
Skittles Pride - Strawberry, Grape, Green Apple, Orange, Lemon
Ian - I'm hoping for a Green Apple!
Theresa - Ugh, I got Green Apple. It's random. Why did I get that one.
Megan - I got a Lemon one. Why does it taste like cleaner?
Joe - Mine is Strawberry I think.
Theresa - At a movie theater you can't even tell what you're eating. It's dark and the regular Skittles all look the same.
Megan - I got them all the way from London for you.
Theresa - Look at how big these are!
Ian - They are so huge! I want a green!
Megan - Green is Lime bud.
Ian - Wait, what? Aww. Can I have a Strawberry? <tastes it> I think I prefer Original Strawberry.
Megan - The Lime is good.
Theresa - I don't like Blackcurrant. I didn't like it in England either. The British took my good Skittles and put their own flavor on it, and they're all yuck!
Joe - What about the Strawberry?
Theresa - It doesn't taste like Strawberry! It tastes weird.
Ian - Thank you for your worst candy ever.
UK Strawberry - I don't like the UK Strawberry as much as the USA version. It tastes odd. Do the strawberries taste different over there?
UK Lime - Lime is mild. It's okay.
UK Lemon - It's better than the Original Skittles Lemon. It's like a Lemon Drop instead of cleaner. My favorite of the five.
UK Blackcurrant - It's not bad. It's a little fruit punchy.
UK Orange - Just orange.
They do indeed have a lot more of the middle part. And we can also see inside that they're white in the middle, unlike the UK Skittles Chewies.
UK Skittles Giants Sours - Sour Apple, Sour Raspberry, Sour Cherry, Sour Mandarin, Sour Pineapple
Joe - Ooh, Sour Pineapple? I want that one!
Theresa - This is like sourness in the center. Pineapple has a little bit of bitterness too.
Ian - The Sour Apple gets a 3.
Theresa - I don't really like those.
Patrick - Cherry is off.
Sour Apple - The sour masks over the nasty with a different flavor. It's the best of the Apple ones, but that's not great.
Sour Raspberry - There's a mild raspberry flavor to it. I do like the super bright pink color of the shell.
Sour Cherry - It's less of a Lifesaver Cherry.
Sour Mandarin - Is there that much of a flavor difference between the Orange, Tangerine, and other candies? Yes! It reminded me a little more of a fresh orange than the others.
Sour Pineapple - How exciting! Saving the best for last! I do like Pineapple. I'm happy they didn't mix it with anything. This is my favorite of the five.
Patrick - If I would have thought about it in time, I would have ordered some dehydrated Skittles. Those look crazy.
Theresa - I am so Skittled out right now. Joe - Taste the rainbow!
Megan - Throw up the rainbow!
Good thing we're done. Time for everyone to vote for their favorite! In this case, we are voting for which "bag" we'd want to buy, not which flavor we like the best out of all of them.
Avery - No, these are my favorite.
Now that we're done, Megan wanted to really Taste the Rainbow. With all these options, she can get all the different colors of the rainbow!

So that's 56 total flavors of Skittles we tried. I put all the Skittles in a row according to the flavors so I could get the picture at the top of the article. I didn't count the 5 Limes as different flavors, or the Skittles Pride as different flavors either. All total, there's 65 Skittles here! And I mean, with all those Skittles flavors there in one place... someone just has to do it.
This is the ultimate "Taste the Rainbow"!
That... that is a lot of Skittles at one time. My jaws were having a hard time chewing through that giant mass of candy. It took a few minutes but eventually I made it. It was a very fruity candy experience.
So many Skittles in my mouth! This might have been a bad idea!
If I had to pick my favorite flavor of the entire day, I'd go with the Sour Grape, followed closely by the UK Sour Pineapple. This was a lot of fun to do! Thank you Megan and Patrick for collecting all of these!
I thought, "oh my gosh", when Megan put the rainbow of 7 skittles at once into her mouth. But when I saw 65 go into your mouth, it was "OH MY GOSH...YIKES!...how did he fit all those skittles into his mouth and actually chew them!"...whew, you survived...must be a Guinness record! So many different flavors for everyone to try...must be "Skittled out" like after the Reese's ultimate test. Alli must have been excited to see the color of the UK Giant Sour Raspberry one. Think the original lime or strawberry will do for me...definitely no sours for my taste buds :-) Patrick's one comment really tickled me, "Some guy in a factory just sucking all the shells off these" when referencing the Chewies...just got me laughing! That was quite the Ultimate Skittles Taste Test. P.S. Really like that one Skittles graphic with the bags floating in air and random skittles sprinkling down like confetti. EOM
