Pizza at Home - Strawberry Pesto Goat Cheese and Prosciutto Pizza

A couple weeks ago we experimented with strawberries on pizza. Tonight we're taking another crack at it with a Strawberry, Goat Cheese, and Prosciutto with a Pesto sauce on the bottom.

The kids wanted to help out with tonights pizza too, so I put them to work! Alli helped measure out all the ingredients for our thin crust pizza dough and gave it a good stir.

Ian helped knead the dough and wrap it up in plastic wrap.

Our toppings for tonight. Fresh berries, prosciutto, and pesto.

I rolled my dough flat, which always takes a lot more time than my old pizza dough recipe. I've looked into getting a tortilla press, but I'm having a hard time finding one that will make it big enough. I'll be stuck with the rolling pin for now unless I can figure something else out.

All the toppings, minus the strawberries.

It cooked up perfectly. I love the browning on the goat cheese.

And learning my lesson from last time, the strawberries go on after everything has cooked, so they don't release all their juices.

Yum!

Tonight's pizzas, a Therizza and strawberry pizza.

The pesto and strawberries go pretty well together. And I'm loving the creamy goat cheese and strawberries. Pineapples have a new contender for sweet things to put on pizza.

  1. The new strawberry pizza looks good...cooked well and the strawberries (w/o baking) are a fresh touch...nice! The Therizza is looking delicious as usual. Gotta love those pizza Sundays! :-) EOM
