National Peanut Butter Fudge and Absurdity Day - November 20th

There's two days for us to celebrate today. The first is National Absurdity Day. It's all about being silly. I sang them the Upidee song from the Muppets and they got an idea of what kinds of things are silly.
Ian got a pickle on his pancakes.

The other National Day to celebrate is National Peanut Butter Fudge Day. Ian and I have made fudge before a long time ago, but it was chocolate fudge. Today is Peanut Butter Fudge!

Alli you're celebrating Absurdity day well.

The ingredients for Peanut Butter Fudge are very simple. I followed this recipe from AllRecipes. Just 6 ingredients, Peanut Butter, Butter, Powdered Sugar, Milk, Vanilla, and Brown Sugar.

It starts with melting the butter in a pan. Thanks for the help Alli.

Ian is measuring out a little tiny bit of brown sugar.

The milk, butter, and brown sugar is mixed together and then comes to a boil for 2 minutes.

After boiling for 2 minutes the peanut butter is added.

And Ian measured out a teaspoon of vanilla all by himself without overfilling it.

It then gets mixed into the powdered sugar until everything is smooth.

Mmm. The kids lick the beaters.

After cooling for a couple hours, we've successfully made fudge! Thanks for the help kids!

It was delicious! And the kids had fun making it too. Theresa has tasked me with making chocolate fudge next because chocolate/peanut butter fudge is her favorite.

  1. Yum yum....peanut butter fudge (and especially chocolate fudge or PB + Chocolate) sound good! Ian has steady hands to pour so neatly into the 1 tsp measuring spoon. Like Alli's "absurd" glasses...that's the spirit :-) EOM

    1. I nailed that peanut butter fudge. The texture was awesome. The side with chocolate chips was the best.
Once everyone arrived for Thanksgiving, it was eaten up.
