Fudge Oreos - Comparing all 8 available kinds

Sometimes we just like to try all the things! We've tried a bunch of different kinds of regular Oreos. There's so many different flavors available! But in all that time, we've never tasted a fudge covered Oreo. We're going to take care of them all at once and try every single flavor I can find all at the same time!

And that means today we'll be trying 8 different versions of Fudge Covered Oreos!
Available in both Minis and Regular, there's some overlap in the flavors, but as we've seen with Reeses cups and their Minis, Miniatures, Thins, Snack Cups, Regular Cups, Big Cups, and bigger, there's still preferences in which ones are the best.
For the Oreo Minis, or Thins Bites that they call them for some reason, there's White Fudge Dipped, Fudge Dipped, Latte Creme Fudge Dipped, and Mint Creme Fudge Dipped. For the regular sized Oreos we have White Fudge Covered, Fudge Covered, Dark Chocolate Creme Dark Chocolate Fudge Covered, and Mint Creme Fudge Covered.
I wonder why they differentiate between Dipped and Covered?
A look at all the fudge covered cookies we'll be trying today.

I've got my helpers here with me while I'm taking photos. Alli would come up shortly afterwards, but this picture with Ian is just too cute.

Nice choice of clothing today kids. Alli is black and white, while Ian is a dark chocolate black.

The regular Fudge Dipped Thins Bites are fine, but unremarkable.

Eating the Fudge Covered Oreo and the kids are trying to dip it into their milk. They learned that they'd need to bite off the edge to penetrate that fudge layer in order to get the milk to soak into the cookie.

Again, similar to the little cookies, the original Oreos are good, but unremarkable.

Time for the white chocolate, which normally isn't our favorite. In this case, we thought it worked pretty well with the chocolatey cookie. It was like some extra creme to go with the cookie, and you know how I like that extra creme. My favorite cookie was the one with The Most Stuf, when we tried all the different creme sizes Oreo offered

The larger White Chocolate Covered Fudge Oreos are next.

Again, probably better than the regular Fudge Oreo, but still nothing remarkable.

Rounding out the typical Milk, White, Dark chocolate variety is this Dark Chocolate Fudge and Dark Chocolate Creme Oreo. It's less sweet than the other milk chocolate fudge Oreos.

Now we're getting into some of the more exotic flavors. These Latte Creme Fudge Dipped Thin Bites were something I could only find at Target and no other stores in my area. And these are a whole nother story to the ones above. The extra flavor from the coffee makes these stand out and they're pretty delicious.

Next we have the Mint Creme Thins Bites. Once again, the addition of that extra flavor makes this one something special.

The same goes for the bigger cookie. Mint makes it better.

Before we get to our favorites, just a few interesting things I noticed. The boxes for most of these were identical, but the White Fudge ones are different.

Inside each of those regular size cookies the color of the MMMMMM on the package matches the layers of what's inside. Even the Mint cookies have a green MMMMMM.

As I'm taking pictures and putting things to the side to take a picture of the next thing, the White, Milk, Dark Chocolates all lined up from lightest to darkest, and I thought it was interesting to see.

Time to pick our favorites.
Ian and Alli - Both loved the Latte Creme Thins Bites
Theresa and Joe - The Mint Creme Thins Bites were the best

Apart from the flavors, everyone thought the Minis, or Thins Bites, were better than the regular sized cookie.

The insides of every single cookie. So have you tried any of the Fudge Covered Oreos? Seen any flavors besides these? Let me know in the comments!

  1. The Latte Creme and Mint Creme sound delicious...always enjoy that "coffee or toffee" flavor in desserts; and the Mint Creme makes me think of those Girl Scout Thin Mints (one of my favorites growing up). Good thing they color-code the MMMMMM on the packaging as an easy way to quickly see which one is which among the fudge covered ones. I guess one only "dips" small things (like mini thins or bites) but need to "cover" the larger (regular) size things :-) Have to admit I haven't tried the Fudge Covered Oreos (only have seen them) or come across any unusual new flavors out there. That was a yummy Oreo taste comparison test! EOM

    1. Agreed! It's the "different" flavors that pique my interests. Now that Girl Scout season is here, we might be able to do some comparisons.
