Pizza at Home - Georgia Peach pizza

Happy Sunday! These pizza days are great! This week we're traveling down to Florida and happen to be in Georgia. What's Georgia known for? Peaches of course! Let's do a peach pizza this week!

What goes with the sweetness of peaches? Theresa and I thought a savory pork like Capocollo would be good. For the cheese, I thought goat cheese will give it a great flavor. And who doesn't like caramelized onion?

I peeled the peaches and cut them into wedges. Alli and Ian came by and snagged a few and both thought they were delicious.

I went for a symmetrical layout with the peaches, capocollo, and goat cheese.

It baked up beautifully!

The goat cheese has a little bit of a toasted color to it.

It was delicious! The peaches were sweet, and all the other flavors were wonderful as well. The capocollo has a much stronger flavor than prosciutto. The goat cheese and caramelized onions together are great too. I dipped the crust into balsamic vinegar. Yum! It was a tasty pizza!

  1. What a tasty "Georgia Peach" Pizza idea!...nice layout of the peaches (btw, those peaches were very nicely peeled...steady hand there!) That lone, unused peach looks like a perfect snack with its natural sweetness :-) EOM
